Day 168: Gualeguay

This morning Thomas and I hunted together on the Gualeguay River. It was a tough hunt because not much was flying in, but we didn't let that stop us. We rearranged the decoys and attempted to mating call of the ducks with our mouths, drawing in many ducks than we expected. We delayed our pick up as long as possible, picking off small pairs of ducks as they flew by. A hard but gratifying hunt.

That afternoon I hunted with Thomas's father, Bud. Like my last hunt, this one was a tough shooting. For an afternoon hunt, we did good, but we were having to reach out for most of our shots.

For our last night at the La Calera hacienda, the staff prepared an amazing assortment of beef. Unfortunately, the variety of beef kept coming and eventually you just have to say no mas or else your stomach might explode.
