The 85th day of traveling has brought me to my 24th birthday. We had made plans to head into Bangkok and get a hotel closer to Khao San road, the most tourist street in Bangkok. After we got packed up and found a new hostel, we set off to explore Bangkok. We found ourselves in a bar off Khao San road, we didn't make it far, with a tower of beer at our disposal. Right next to us were two guys, one of which had a University of Georgia bag with him. Ends up, these two guys just finished med school and are about to start their residency, one in Charleston, SC and the other in Birmingham, AL. While we were talking, a guy came up to our table with a plate of scorpions on a stick. All five of us joined tables and munched down. When in Bangkok right?
Three beer towers later, we separated to get ready for the wild night ahead. All I can say is, Bangkok, 24th birthday, and five young wild guys... Let your imagination run with that one. We probably did it.
