Day 118: Overnight train to Xī'ān (Shaanxi Province)

Another relatively lazy day. Grabbed lunch near the hostel then came back to do some reading and learn some stuff about where we are going next. Joseph has never been to the Shaanxi Provence so it will be an interesting couple of days ahead of us, we have no clue what to expect; only time will tell and anything is possible.

We caught the night train to Xī'ān, which is the transportation hub of the Shaanxi Provence (the Chengdu of Sichuan). Hard sleeper for 16 hours... The train was a sketchy ride. All I could think about we're those two high speed trains that collided in China. Every once and a while the train cars would like jolt. It was as if the engine car had speed up and each car wasn't securely connected, creating a ripple effect throughout all the cars; I almost got thrown out of my bed at one point.
